We've been married 22 years and have, partially due to my job in the travel industry, traveled quite a lot. However, it was always for the typical 2-3 week vacation. In 2007 we sold our house, quit our jobs and spent 11 months backpacking through 20 countries on 5 continents. Upon our return we experienced such extreme culture shock we took off again, this time for a 2 month road trip around the United States. We are now planning our next big adventure! Within the next 2 years we're going to hit the road to drive the PanAmerican Highway to Patagonia, will circle South America and then...who knows. We have fantastic friends and family but realize our heart really belongs on the road...meeting new people, experiencing new adventures, and being global citizens.
