Lindsey Gallagher

I'm a middle school global studies teacher just a few months shy of my 30th birthday. I LOVE what I get to teach - culture, global awareness. My degree is in Spanish which I taught for 5 years. I absolutely adore Spain and Portugal (traveled to both before - twice). I have had an itch for travel the last few years and keep giving the "I'm a teacher" excuse for why I haven't gone anywhere in a while. Things are drastically changing at a fast pace in education and I've experienced some of the downfall (my elementary Spanish position being terminated) and it's made me both hesitant and wondering about whether I'll have a job the next year (gotta have $ to plan the travel) but work my butt off at the same time to become an integral part of the school I'm currently in. I LOVE that I get to broaden my students' perspectives of the world. Travel to some new places would bring in so many new thoughts and ideas into the class!
