First, gotta say, I don't like that my profile can be shared on other sites so please don't and I hope they take that away. Sorry if that makes me seem unfriendly.

I was a world traveler before there was a web. Moving to LA, I taught Budget Travel Workshops for Hosteling International.

I loved my first trip -- 3 years on the road. Solo. I met many fantastic people, but thought I wouldn't ever travel solo again. But life happens and marriage didn't. And a freelance career did. So years later, I gave up having a home base and decided to take advantage of the freedom and hit the road again -- that time for a year. I've now been on the road for 2.5 years having wrapped US travel with international. Now I'm planning my next years-long adventure!

By the way, when the web came along, I became a web development expert and my own travel pages inspired and helped people to travel. As soon as this site came along, I linked to it. But it was years before I got to do long-term travel again.
