why oh why did I ever leave europe

I know, when I was in Berlin I bitched about the things I miss. NOw I don't remember what they were. THere are great things about every place and I'm trying to stay on the bright side, even though taht's not my nature. I'm a critical person. But here were some highlihgts of Berlin:

Restaurants everywhere, and inexpensive. Much vegetarian, or else Indian or Middle Eastern. ONe of my faves, right on Oranianstrasse past Adalbertstrasse: it is an Italian pizzaria. I got spaghetti vegetaria. Their stuff is fresh, including the pasta, it's still soft when they cook it, and the ingredients too. They knew me as the American girl. I always got soda, too.
Little kids everywhere, Turkish families bringing their kids to the park. I spent a lot of time in Gorlitzer Park and there were playgrounds on every street.
I liked just walking around and I think I was in every neighborhood. SOmetimes I get on the bus and go wherever it goes, and I know, I have to plan, but once in a while......I mean there's always something new to discover.
Last night I watched a film about the link between the occult and the Third Reich. Nah, racism sucks, no to racism. Gegen Racismus.
But now that I'm back I'm having to deal with the same problems, this time New York and the US and......there's just so much that is wrong and this place is made for rich men, and if you're not a rich man it is getting more and more intolerable. I have to be honest, I'm already ready to bugger off, again.
